I have previously posted this in a format requesting a new item type, "Manufactured Item", to deal with my situation where item componants are not assembled into kits prior to sale, but rather consumed to produce the item being sold. Also I do not want every single component listed on the receipt as this would make for a long and confusing receipt. however I still need my inventory to deplete when I make the sale.
If I build kits then go to generate purchase orders I end up with purchase orders for items I still have in stock. The only work-around I can see, is to allow for back ordering of kits and then build then based on the commited qty, say on a weekly basis and before generating a purchase order, but this just adds awkward complexity, and also requires he cashier to add customer details to every sale.
Is there anyone that can advise how I can build a kit just before selling it, buy way of a macro mayvbe or something. OR Is there anyone that can develop this functionality as an add-on
