Cant find committed items

I have a problem in RMS that i am seeing over and over again in the database The common situation i am seeing is my inventory shows quantity on hand as being 1 (or any number for that matter) and committed as being 1.

The problem is that quite often I do not know where these items are being commited too.

I checked layaways, backorders, workorders etc. but cannot find the item anywhere.

Any suggestions would eb appreciated.

Thanks, Matt

This's true, the online help says "Displays the number of items that have been committed to the customer(s). This includes items on back orders, work orders, and layaways" but, if u have an open transfer out, u issued an item but u didn't commit the transfer, u'll find the quantity that u issued in the committed field.

just try it, choose any open transfer out, click issue, enter a quantity in Qty Iss for any item, click Ok wihtout committing, open the item properties, u'll find the quantity u just issued in the Committed field

Jeff,

I can't say I understand it fully, but I have no idea if my Quantity Committed is now right. It definitely changed, but how can I tell if it is right? Even if I just spot check it, that would help. How is the QuantityCommitted calculated?
