CRE POS v QB POS

I am using CRE 10.519 in our retail biz and use quickbooks for the accounting/payroll side of the biz. CRE doesn't seem to be able to integrate with QB and I wonder if the POS by QB would be a good choice over my current CRE. CRE is poorly supported and has many flaws especially trying to export data to other prgms. I would like advice on a good way for a small retail biz to go software wise... advice please.

Both RMS and QBPOS will handle your POS needs well; RMS only requires you license registers and not workstations that will just run the manager program; QBPOS requires you license ALL workstations, even those where you will not generate sales/invoices. RMS has superior discount schemes with mix and match and buy x get y features and parent/child relationships; QBPOS has (IMO) a better designer of labels, receipts, etc. RMS only offers a label designer; QBPOS reports are better and more flexible "out of the box" but doesn't come with querying capabilities as can be done with RMS administrator. If you sell apparel/shoes (soft goods) where you need to track colors/sizes QBPOS has a better grid/matrix interface than RMS.

My suggestion is that you work with an experienced retail sytems consultant that will analyze your business needs/requirements and then do a full-scale demo of the system that's right for you (after all, you're making an investment - a system that should grow with you over the next 3, 5, 7 or 10 years)
