Creating an Avery label for Clothing

Hi I'm printing labels no problem. The issue I am having relates to how the Description field works with Matrix items, like Size. So to have a decription field limited to 30 characters seems a little odd to me. Then to top it off, when printing labels, it tries to append the Size to the end of the description but still has printing limits. But the issue is that matrix parameters (like size) are not a definable field for labels. Anyone have a workaround for this? Considering how key the matrix is, I am surprised my printing capabilities are so limited.

I know that the clothing item would already have the Product name and size in numerous locations, but I need to make sure the staff codes it right. Sure they can scan in or enter the barcode, but I would like the option. Am I out to lunch with this request? I can imagine the software architect thinking "oh my god, he wants to turn the description into a paragraph!

You can use the Detail Title 1 thru 3 and the Detail Field 1 thru 3 in the label designer. These will give you the matrix dimension attribute title and the matrix dimension attribute field value respectively. I'm not sure how these would work for none matrix items. I'm currently (still) using subdescription1 thru 3 since these were the only fields available prior to RMS 2.0 (there used to be an option to have the matrix attributes copied to subdescription 1, 2, and 3 prior to RMS 2.0. MS is working to get this functionality back in to RMS but haven't told me how long this is going to take. till then I'm running a SQL script that does this for me.)
