Crystal Reports 11

RMS has a great integration for Crystal Reports. With the new versions of Crystal Reports not supported and not working with RMS it seems as though the Crystal Reports integration is becoming obsolete and useless for new customers that want to be able to customize their own reports with Crystal Reports, especially since it is hard to find Crystal Reports V8.5. The lack of Crystal Reports 11 integration is extremely dissapointing with a multiple store setup that could use common reports across all stores. When will Microsoft take the steps to integrate the new Crystal Reports versions?

You can still use CR 11 or any other reporting tool to get the information out of RMS. You just can't run the reports from within RMS. Also with running them outside of RMS you are not limited to RMS's capabilities. i.e. SubReports, Alert, DrillDowns and so on. Using CR from outside of RMS makes much more sense from an enterprise reporting solution as you can run the reports from the web on any computer that has access to the internet.

ChrisR,

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see MS drop CR in the next version and start using SQL Reporting Services. Why pay for the license?

That's what I'm starting to practice with.
