Custom Buttons

I am looking for the syntax (command) for the following actions:

Shift-F9 - Layaway Information Shift-F4 - Layaway Payment

F7 - Set Customer

If anyone has these please let me know.

Also, If anyone has access to Customer Source and can email me the list of syntax that would be great.

Thanks,

For Customer you will use this command. Go to Button, on Style specify Internal Command, Capation put anything, then in command you will type

1) SetCustomer 2) RecallLayaway (for layway payment i believe) 3) SelectLayaway (for information.

Hi Akber,

Thanks for all your help. Well these two kind of work. For Customer, It brings up the "find customer" window, you can search for someone but when you select their name and click OK it does nothing. I tried it numerous times and then tried the real F7 key and everything works perfectly... Any ideas/solutions??

Second, the postpayment works but not in the correct way... IE: if you are in the POS and you press SHIFT-F4 the post payment screen comes up. But if you select layaway first (CTRL-F8) and then press SHIFT-F4 you get a different screen. If your in layaway and click on the POSTPAYMENT it asks if you want to cancel the transaction. If its confusing... try it and you'll see what i mean. Again if you have any ideas/solutions thats great.

Thanks, Nikkei

We have a tool called RMS Touchscreen Helper that will allow you to simulate function keys (and the various combinations) from a Custom POS Button. If you are intestested please drop an email to snipped-for-privacy@rite.us for more information.

I have tried to do the same with the internal command "SetCustomer" the F7 button works ok but if I try to set up a Custom POS button I get a bridge error. Did you manage to get to the bottom of this as it make the customer side if the software useless.
