customer data question

Go into manager. Go to File>Configuration>Account tab. You can set the number you wish to generate next there. I haven't messed with it to see if it will follow the specified pattern next time you create on or not. We are using the default amount of digits. I'd use at least 3-4 to make sure you have no issues in the future.

I have just started customer data into RMS and I would like to autogenerate customer numbers, however the "Auto" generate button metioned in help is not there..However, it does ask me if I want to auto generate a number when I go to close the window, but it produces numbers with 5 leading zeros ..can that be changed to less , or is it default..Any help on these issues would be appreciated..
