Hi,
We would like to setup a loyalty scheme within our store. I have read about setting up Customer Accounts and the pricing brackets you can enter; A, B, C, D.
I have a few questions below which I would like to know the answers too if anybody knows:
- Using this method, does the customer account number have to be entered prior to the transaction?
- When the account information is entered, does the screen on the till return to the normal sales entry screen or do you have to push/tap a custom button to then enter the transactions
- Are there any changes needed to relate a database table or entry in that table to allow the relation between that transaction and the customer to happen - if that makes sense
- How does the price bracket facility link with the customer?
- If I enter only a price in D (maybe Gold Customer Price) and no other price in A,B or C does the system take just D price as the sale price.
- Similar to question 5, if there are prices in A, B, C and D, how do I know what the customer level is and how do I select the correct one on the screen
- We use BarTender to print all our price tags etc, can I use this to print the Customer Account number onto a card or even purchase another card machine to use a magnetic strip?
- Is the system able to convert cash purchases into "points" like Tesco's do. They get 1 point for each 5 pounds they spend, when they get to 50 points they get 10 pounds of credit available to spend in the store.
I think this is enough (maybe to much) for now. Any answers would be much appreciated as I reckon I'll be fired if I don't get something back.
Thanks in advance.
Ken
