customizing function keys

The blank (Alt, etc...) keys are there to attach Macros to. - you could have a macro that does nothing more than record a single function key press...

You can't rearrange the function keys. You can't 'hide' keys, but you can disable them for certain users through the security features of RMS.

One option would be to hide the function keys (using Ctrl-F6, "Screen"), then enable a custom touchscreen keyboard. The touchscreen works fine with the mouse, and the function keys still work - they just aren't displayed. You have at least some control over the layout of the touchscreen.

The other customizable area is the "Custom POS Buttons" area on the right side of the transaction screen. You can create buttons that emulate many (but not all) function keys.

1. Is it possible to make the touch screen resizable? it is grey out in the Screen display properties.
2. Is it possible to make the touchscreen start automatically when POS start?

On another note, is it possible to print a individual customer shipping label (like a regular envelop label) from the shipping or edit shipping or the customer screen?

Once you create a touchscreen in SO Manager (Database/Registers/Keyboards) and assign it to the register (Database/Registers/Register List, Properties, Touchscreen), the Screen properties should be enabled. You can set the height & width of the touchscreen display area, and yes once you save the settings, the touchscreen will auto start with POS - if it doesn't, make sure you log on to Windows as an Administrator before you save the screen settings.
