my database in version 1.2 is 94% full - the size is 1646mb. Is there a way I can delete files, or create a new database that is larger and import my data?

this is a topic that comes up regularly. search the newsgroup. you should find plenty of answers.
You'll need to upgrade MSDE to SQL Express 2005 which supports 4gb databases. Beyond that SQL Server has no size limit but requires a purchase and a server OS. 1.2 Doesn't "support" SQL Express but it will work. 1.3 Refresh is approved for use with SQL Express 2005.
Your other option is to purchase data archive utils that will purge older data from your DB such as journals and older sales.
