Is there a recommendation for when you should delete transactions from your database??? Weekly, Monthly, Yearly. My store databases are CRAWLING, and we have almost a years worth of data at the store...

I can recommend a couple of things that may help.
First, stop the sql server process where your database is. Then defrag the harddrive that holds the database. Then start the sqlserver process. Start store ops administrator and reindex the database. I also ran Visual Defrag on a couple of our stores and all of the above made a difference to the performance of the system. I don't think you have much to gain by deleting transactions. Our stores can be very busy with large numbers of tranactions daily (sometimes 100's/hour).
