Dept. Item Search

Oct 27, 2005 4 Replies

RMS is capable of searching my database for top items in my entire store: Date Sold>AND Sales. This gives me the Item Look Up with total sales for the period. However, I don't know how to search for the top items in each department and I have 19 departments. Any ideas? Thank you.

TV,

If you are the M$ support plan, there is a fixed Top Items report in CustomerSource. Unzip it and place it in your Reports folder under \Program Files\Microsoft Retail....\Store Ops. It will then be listed under the Reports | Custom menu.

TV,

Sorry about that, I was looking at the report that we had modified with the same name.

I've attached our customized report.

To download it, from this newsgroup, you must be using Outlook Express or some other newsgroup reader program. To setup Outlook Express and join the group, click on the link below;

Find Microsoft Retail Management System, then click on Open with a newsreader.

To be honest, everyone here should be using a newsgroup reader to access this newsgroup. It allows for downloading files and its biggest reason is the search capabilities are much improved.
