on the relevant page it lists KB918739 (5/23/2006) as the latest. did you have to call them to get it?

would it be a TOS violation for someone who already got it to post it to a site? what a pain... we pay for the service then we have to work to get what we paid for.

Yes, it would be a violation.

They want to control hotfixes as they aren't fully tested.

Pain? Pretty tough to get? What is it, 6 mouse clicks and type in "Please send latest hotfix" Jeesh!

in contacting CS support, i had to start over to get around being asked for a credit card number, and about a a dozen clicks later i was able to send CS a message. a humanly canned replies comes back: "Hotfixes are available for Download on Customer Source at...". another msg to them specifies which one i am looking for (the word "latest" wasnt enough), to which i receive another reply "In order to obtain this hotfix, you must contact Retail Management System (RMS) Technical Support via eSupport or by calling 888-477-7877". 12+ hours later, issue still unresolved, i still have to call in, and they will probably ask for a credit card then (which will not be charged).

not public doesnt mean not public, only means it is not easy to obtain. if this doesnt sound like a pain to you maybe you like sitting on the computer too much :)

My experience also, but sometimes takes longer on the weekend. ;-)
