Im trying to install RMS for Supermarket

So I need an open department like a cash register.

When the barcode is not in the system

they need to cahrge by pressing department.

what I want is that pressing price and department button than It should be

charged.

I know that I can ring a item first than change price but they don't want that way.

Thank you

Two ways I can think of that aren't exactly what your looking for but that could work.

1- Make a non-inventory item for each department and under options select 'must enter price at POS' now make a custom button for each item you created. When the button is pressed the item would prompt you for price and you enter the price. 2- Instead of making custom buttons you could set up the touch screen keyboard to include all of the items you created in step 1. Another option for the touch screen keyboard would be to create a non-inventory item for each price in each department. With this option you wouldn't select the option to 'must enter price at POS'. Depending on your pricing policy you might create a lot of items this way, but then you wouldn't have to enter the price at POS and with using the keyboard all of the buttons would be in the order you select them to be. I use the touchscreen keyboard and it has made life easier for my cashiers. Craig

We created a NON-BARCODED Category within each department and one item (enter price at POS) within each of those departments/categories with a description of the Department and Category with N.B. (non bar-coded) behind it so we could still track the category/departments sales properly before we had all of our store items tagged. (since everything is tagged now we don't allow this anymore). We had a small list taped to each printer/register with those item numbers on them

10 Men's Shirts N.B. 11 Woman's Shirts N.B. 12 Kids Shirts N.B. etc. The non bar-coded items issue should be resolved a.s.a.p. because they, of course, cause all kinds of problems with Inventory, ringing up under the wrong category/department, not entering the price correctly etc....
