Importing supplier price lists

In RMS, can you import a suppliers price lists? (my understanding is that you can, but the item(s) must exist in the system to begin with. Andrea

If you can get the price list is some sort of digital format, you should be able to manipulate it with Excel/Word until you have data that can be imported. You can import the items fairly easily if you have QSImport or other import utility.

Basically, you'd be importing the items and populating the lookup code, description, cost, price, etc. but with 0 in the quantity on hand field.

As always, importing data is only as valuable as the data is accurate. Done well, it's a beautiful thing.

If you are talking about updating prices based on price sheets from vendors, I know of nothing that is available through the RMS system. I currently working on a new PO system for the store, but the updating prices is my next task. Let me know if you find an add on out there, and if you don't I will let you know when I have something. I am sure there is an add on for sale out there.

Andrea and eslinden,

We could provide you with a sql query that would look at an existing CSV file and update the prices inside the RMS database. This would probably take approx 2 hours of labor to do. Give me a call or email if you are interested and I can give you more information on how it woulod work.
