Increasing the size of the description field

You can't. The fields in the RMS front end are hard coded to accept a limited field size. If you change the underlying data table to store more text, everything will seem fine, until you try to edit an item with a description longer than 30 characters - then RMS will crash. Your only real option is to use the extended description field, and enable the "Show Extended Description" POS Option.

Hi Glenn.. now I changed the size of description to 50 chars.. and RMS Manager and POS works fine.. but when I post the transaction with an item that have a description over 30 chars the POS raise an exception..

Now I check the log of profiler..

I tried to alter the description to 100 and all went ok in back office of SO, but when I commited a PO it truncated back to 30.

POS didnt go to well at all with 100 char.
