I have a lot ot items in my database that I don't carry any longer. Is there any way to identify them and either delete or make them inactive? Any help is appreciated.

In the Item Properties there is an Inactive option.
JD,
In addition to Jason's suggestion, you can make a group of items inactive through the Inventory Wizard.
Good luck, Matt
Jason,
thanks for the tip. Now, how would I get a list of items that I have not sold in a while (say 4weeks)without opening each item and looking at the movement history.
Regards JD
Thanks Matt,
but how would I know which items to make inactive. Is there a report that I can run to pull a list of items that have no movement history (say in last 4 weeks)?

JD,
There is a column in the item table that says when an item was last sold. You may need a report specially made to bring up that information. Contact your nearest reseller if you're not comfortable with editing reports. It should also be possible via SQL query.
Good luck, Matt

In RMS Manager see Reports/Items/ItemMovement. This report can be configured to return a date range you want.
