Item Costs Not Updating?

It appears as though my item costs are not being updated when POs are received.

For example: A new item is created with a cost of $1400 We order a few, sell them, repeat. After a while the price drops to $1200. We order a few at the new lower cost and receive them. The cost in my item properties is still $1400 after the PO is received!

My cost update method is Weighted Average. Update supplier cost from PO is turned on.

This is in an HQ environment, but some POs are generated locally.

Why aren't my costs updating?

Jeff,

The costs aren't being updated in the store database.

Whether the PO is generated locally or by HQ via WS340, the costs aren't always being updated when the PO is received.

I am, however, glad to hear about the Store-to-HQ update in v2.0

Already checked that. It's set to weighted average at all stores.

Strange, eh?

Worksheet 302 updates cost at stores from HQ. We have request to update supplier cost at HQ from latest PO or from store. Looks need to either wait or do it manually by SQL.

Regards, Jas> TT,
