Magazine subscription

I own a magazine store. I have a prepaid subscription program which my customers pay for half or one year in advance and get discounts. I'd like to know how to setup the tender process when the customer picksup one of the prepaid magazine.(subsract one magazine from the inventory but no cash or CC tender) Thanks

You should test this out to see if it suits your needs.

Try creating a workorder with the number of issues that you are pre-selling.

Apply a transaction discount

Tender the work order with a 100% deposit

Each month, recall the workorder and tender it for a partial pickup. Once the last issue has been picked up,the work order will close and it will no longer appear in the recall list.

To do this, you will either need to create an item for each issue at least one year in advance, or sell all issues under a single SKU (no quantity tracking by issue).

This could get more elaborate, but hopefully that's enough to get you started...
