Layaway and partial payments - not working

I recently ran into a snag with a customer picking up a partial layaway order. The customer placed 50% down on a layaway order. They came in and picked up part of the order that had been shipped to our store. When I recalled the layaway I went thru the following steps:

  1. recall layaway>tender>pick up partial order>checked appropriate items.

After going thru the steps the system required that the customer pay the remaining 50% of the ENTIRE order (instead of just the items they were picking up). Has anyone encountered this before? I do have it setup under the Store Operation manager - configuration "ordering" tab to require 50% deposit on a lawaway. Does anything else have to be setup in the store manager to process this correctly? ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

ew_va,

Can't duplicate it here, the only monies RMS is attempting to collect is the remaining 50% of the items being picked up. By chance, are the other items listed at 0.00 selling price?

You can easily see the monies required by getting to your partial pickup screen and selecting and unselecting the items. The "to be collected" is listed on the bottom of the window.

What version are you running?

Hey Jeff:

The items are not listed at 0.00 selling price. I was using the "partial pickup" screen to process the layaway. Unfortunatley it wanted to tender the remaining

50%. I am running verision 1.3.203 of the software. Any suggestions? This is a huge problem for me since 95% of my business is layaway/special orders. I appreciate you trying to help me out. Have a good one.
