Missing Tenderentry for Transaction

Sep 05, 2006 13 Replies

Hi!

We have a serious problem with our RMS 1.0. for about 2-3% of our salestransactions there is no record in the tenderentry nor in the journal. That means we are missing the payments for the transactions causing inconsistencies in our ERP System (SAP). These inconsistencies happen in all our RMS installations across europe and are transmitted to our headquarter. It seems that the problems are caused by the registers that hang from time to time or do not print receipts. The strange thing is that the RMS does not roll back those transactions but writes them to the database in an inconsistent manner. Also if you rebook the transaction you have the stock reduced by 2. One from the 1st transaction that had no tenderentryrecord and one from the rebooked one. Any Idea why that happens?

Thanx in advance.

Chris

Chris,

You can try upgrading RMS to the latest version / build. The problems may be resolved.

I have the same problem, Records affect the transaction tables without affecting the tenderentry table. this problem is really old to us and we do not know why it is happened !? , it might be locks on tables that prevent completing the transaction, Power failure , Network error ..................... i am using RMS 1.3.1002 . the problem is affecting item quantity or not ?

the transaction processing is going as : Insert into Transaction Insert into TransactionEntry Update Item Insert into TaxEntry Insert into TenderEntry Insert into TenderTotals Update DailySales Insert into DailySales Update Batch Update TimeCard Insert into Journal

Mahmoud,

First, you need to update NOW. There is a serious bug in .1002.

You might try what I've offered before, do a backup, a database check and a database re-index.

Thanks Jeff, but i have this serious problem from QS2000,then QSC,..................,RMS

1.3.1002 and how about a new SO database ?, i think it does not have to check or reindexing..
