I want to move an existing RMS installation to a new computer. Is there documentation somewhere on how to do this? Can anyone provide any 'gotchas' or general suggestions?
I have the software on 3 'tills', one where the database exists and 2 others. How do I redirect the other 2 tills to the new location?

On the old machine, SO Manager | Utilities | Backup Database | copy it to CD/DVD/network share, whatever
Install RMS on the new machine.
SO Admin | File | Connect | put in your password you used on install | Database | Create | Name it the same name as before | Next | browse to the backup file you created | Next | Finish
File | Connect | server is (local) | put in your password | put in the database name you created | File | Configuration | change the database name to the new one | Register tab | change to the same number as the old one was.
Suggest assigning a static IP address to the new server.
On the registers, SO Admin | File | Connect | server is the IP address of the new server | put in your password | File | Configuration | change the sever to the IP address | File | Exit

Can use either for most things, although for the Offline database sync, I've only made it work with an IP address.
