Migrating to a new computer

Quicken 2008, soon to get Q 2009.

I'm getting old(er) and it is more difficult to remember how to do certain things on the computer than it used to be! I must get a new Windows XP computer and I have several 15 meg Quicken files. I can easily move them to the new computer via CD's or floppies, but how can I move things like the passwords and other things needed to have Q download from banks and brokerages, and Pin Vault things?? What file are these things stored?

Thanks.

Just do the normal migration. All that will go with it.

- Back up the database

- Make a copy and store it elsewhere

- Validate the database and fix any problems

- Print sample reports for later comparison

- Backup the database

- Install Q on new computer

- restore database from validated backup

- Re-run reports and verify data integrity

- backup and get back to work. ;-)

Done.........
