Not allowed to create new customers at the POS

When trying to add customers to the POS, I get an error code: "You are not allowed to create new customers at the POS". It worked fine with the Tailspin Toys database... but it doesn't seem to work with the blank database (restored from the CD-Rom). The administrator has all permissions allowed as the POS user? Any ideas?

I didn't realize that this was not a right, and rather it was a configuration item. To solve the problem, you go to File -> Configuration -> options -> customer options->

and select "Allow new customers at POS".
