PSC scanner? Did you try the PSC web site?

I just spent a couple of minutes on the PSC web site and searched their TecForum using your model #. Take a look at this.

I have downloaded the PSC OPOS drivers but they do not include the VS800. Connecting to integrated touch screen unit without keyboard, so k/w is not really the way to go. Am trying the local PSC agents.

I've been told to try the Duet OPOS drivers. Apparently the internal mechanism is identical to the VS800.

Find out if you need a keyboard present when attaching to the ps/2 port, and if you do, what you can buy as a terminator instead of a keyboard. PSC might have a cable with a kb terminator, or there might be a barcode you can scan to program the scanner so it doesn't need one. Also, maybe there's a USB keyboard emulation cable. That's how I buy all my HH Scanners now. Plug it into USB port and windows recognizes it as a keyboard. Call tech support. Numbers on the psc aussie web site.

PSC tech support should have been your first contact before you tried anything. Rick Brown DataBasics
