POS 2009 crashes frequently

Hi There



I have POS 2009 crashing frequently. When ever it crashes the following error pops up



"The programme is in the wrong state for this operation"



The user will then need to restart POS. This normmaly occurs at during transaction is getting finalised.



Any ideas on why this issue may be happpening or how to fix it would help.
