POS AND online store

I'm in the process of making a website for my store. The question I cannot figure out is:

How am I going to sync the database of both my online store AND my POS database at my physical store front?

Can I connect Microsoft Point Of Sale to an online database? Is this a good idea, if so?

I am somewhat of a newbie when it comes to both these aspects, but I would defintely appreciate the help! :)

Thanks in advance!

So sounds like I'm screwed....?

Is RMS really much better than POS? I can tell you I have not been happy with this program at all. It runs terrible, and a few times has completely crashed and I lost my database.

I'm thinking about getting a different program, but am really unsure if I should stick with Microsoft because of the bad experiences I've had with POS.

I did go through a qualified retailer. Actually I got more help through them than I ever did through Microsoft AND it was free of charge. Obviously when I got the program I wasn't planning on a website and was new at this whole thing. It just frustrates me when you buy a program for a crapload of money and then are expected to pay even more money just to get help or get fixes for a crappy program that you shouldn't even have to be going through the hassle for if the program was actually well made from the start.

I bought POS and was told from Microsoft that it would work perfect with XP Home. Well it didn't. It crashed, it lagged, it sat there for 5 minutes just to go to the screen to enter opening amounts.... and this was on a brand new computer.

So I had to buy XP Pro and had to upgrade my ram from 512 to 1.5 Gigs and POS STILL runs terrible and I can't even get the printer to work with it.... I just find it ridiculous that I could get a POS program for free and get more help. ARGH.... :(

I th> Khopek,

minimal needs, point of sale program. Your reseller should have discussed your needs before purchasing this or any program. They really need to understand your business. They should have shown you the differences and limitations of each. For a quick reference, here's a link to some of the major differences between them;

webstore with MSPOS, it's almost guaranteed with RMS.
