Price ovverride/ discount repoort

How can i generate a report that would show all the items that had a price changed at the register. For example when the price is incorrect and the cashier has to change it or give discount etc.

Thanks RObert

hi Robert, The users inputs are not trackable however when users change price to anything else it appear to be discount so you have 2 fields in TransactionEntry table one with Price and one with FullPrice. Now you can make report and filter all the data where Price FullPrice this will give you output with information from which registers and users has done that.

But!!!! one thing how you will track the the discount price comes automatically in this situation you will have hard time finding that it is happen automatically. If you not discount schemes or other stuff then the option one will work for you.

In the detailed sales report, use show/hide columns and make the "Price Source" field visible. I don't remember the exact values that are possible, but there should be one that indicates a manual price change. You can get a little more exact by creating Reason Codes and requiring them for discounts. These are also available in the Detailed Sales Report, IIRC, as "Discont Reason Code"

Robert, You should really be using a newsreader like Outlook Express to view the newsgroup. That way when somebody takes the time to upload an attachment for you, you can actually use it. Instead of asking the person to go further out of their way and email it to you. Some of us won't email any attachments, we post it to the newsgroup so everyone can use it. Craig
