Purchase Order Wizzard - The data you entered is not valid

Apr 29, 2007 7 Replies

I am having some issues with the purchase order wizzard with my POS system. Currently, I do not have any reorder or restock information on any items so they are at 0. Is there anyway to auto-population 1's in these fields? So I understand why I cannot use a purchase order wizzard based on restock information.

However, I should be able to do it based on items sold, correct? With a few of my suppliers this works great. I click items sold over the past 30 days and volla! However, with two of my suppliers (this is as many as I have found so far) it says "The data you entered is not valid". I do not understand this. It is not saying that no purchase orders need to be made and no matter on how I modify my input into the purchase order wizzard I get this message. I don't see any difference on how the suppliers are entered. Any ideas here?

Well Mike, I hope you are selecting different groups and criteria that's the reaosn you unable to generate the PO for specific supplier here are the steps you need to follow:

  1. from the Generation Selction : Select Generate for all items in the selected group
  2. then in the Group Selection : Select Only items from selected suppliers then you can select your respective supplier
  3. Now to the below you have another 2 more option like 'Order from the primary supplier' or 'order from supplier with lowest cost' this the default all is primary supplier however you can change it if you have 2 or more supplier for one item.

in SO Manager | Wizards | Inventory Wizard. If you want to set everything to qty 1, select the New Re-order Point column and enter a 1. Then right click on the column, select Copy, then right click again and select Paste to all rows. Do the same with the re-stock level.
