I found a thread but there was no answer.
I have subscriptions with my vendors that when a new ball is release, they send it to my at no cost. When I go to receive it into the system, it changes the cost to $0. I am using the weighted average for cost.
Suggestions?
Cost is based on the amount that you actually paid for your current inventory. If you have only received free or promo inventory of an item, your cost is $0. You can have a separate Supplier cost and also a replacement cost that reflect what you would spend on future inventory. Are these free samples salable items, or are they just for you reveiw & decide if you want to carry them?
