Thx Bill for sharing your experience. I will try changing the USB port. How are you able to design a new label?

Thx.

I am having the exact same problem. Call Zebra tech support. They are very helpful and got me to your point. I am going to have to call them again to get where I need. Sometimes my printer prints and sometimes it dosen't and when it does it is very slowly and my label size issue is the same as you describe.

I forgot to mention tha tI was also using a USB initially and tech support had me switch because it is easy to be using the wrong port using USB. That was when i was not printing at all.

I am new to the barcode printer setup process and would appreciate some basic help in setting it up. I have RMS 1.3 and installing Zebra LP 2824 using USB port.

I installed the Generic/Text drivers and then connected the printer via USB port. To test it was working I went into Label wizard and tried printing a sample label by selecting Zebra 4"x3" (the only option available for zebra). Ultimately I would be using 1.25"x1" label size but just to test that everything was working properly I have test label stock 2.25" x 4" in the printer. Unfortunately the Zebra printer is not printing anything. Any tips?

Also, if I were to redesign/recreate a label in do I have to install Zebra software?

Thx for your assistance.

You can modify the labels by using the Label Designer that is built into RMS. Yes Bill you are right, you must also change the label size in the printers property. SO Manager --> Utilities menu --> Label Designer
