After not making any progress I finally submitted a non-technical support incident to MS tech. support inquiring about the beta program. All I got back from them was to check with my partner. I have forwarded the reply to my partner who is trying to find out what we need to do.

You sure would expect MS to tell you the specifics of participating in their beta program. With RMS it is just having to go back and forth and after a while you might get an answer.

And if you're lucky, you might get the same answer twice.

We are a partner in Ireland and you would not believe how difficult it is to find anything out from Microsoft even for us. Especially as no one is employed by Microsoft to look after RMS in Ireland.

Nevertheless there is a partner day in the UK at the beginning of October and I have been promised that we will be put on the Beta testing program after discussions this day.

I will let you know what comes out of it but seeing as 3.0 is not scheduled to be released here until Q2 or Q3 next year we are a bit behind the US.

Here is what my dealer got back from MS:

At this point, we can only say that we are in the planning stages for beta. The customer should ensure their partner knows that they are interested. Additionally, I?ll keep this customer?s name on file.

Do they have a realease date for the RMS 3.0 yet ?
