RMS to Quickbooks

RMS can easily import your items, vendors, customers, accounts and terms.

Look in the index of the user guide for RMS under QuicbBooks. Its an easy process.

Setup access to company file in RMS manager via File->Configuration->Accounting Import accounts RMS manager via Utilities->Import Quickbooks

That should bring everything you entered in quickbooks over to RMS.

After this you need to match your accounts under RMS Manager Journal->Assign GL Accounts.

This may be a little late, but I use QB, and have found that the Vendor bills must be entered manually again into QB if you want to use the vendor payable sub-system (and why wouldn't you!). Having it post to a GL account is simple, but you can't use the vendor system to control discounts, credits, multiple bills on a check, etc. Their integration is far inferior to the integration that QB Point of sale does with QB Retail Pro. Had I known that this function is rudimentary, I would have never purchased RMS. I now spend double the amount of accounting I did when I used the 2 QB's system. Also, when posting batches to the GL (as a journal entry), it does not allow you to post to the Sales tax payable account in QB. You have to manually change the sales tax payable entry to indicate the taxing authority (Vendor Name) and the correct GL account. RMS has purposely been vague what the integration means. If you are thinking about buying this, and the accounting is a key to your operation, plan on adding staff or a lot of additional time to keep the accounting current.

I believe that you can import from a csv file into quickbooks, but I may be mistaken. I usually let the accountant handle setting up QB, but I seem to remember someone asking me for a file for that purpose...

You can get a csv file by exporting a report from RMS...

When we pos batch transaction into QB, RMS indicated that the post was don successfully, but when we checked in QB, nothing was brought over. No sales, no cash. Does anybody know why
