simple way to extract email addresses?

Im running RMS and there is a pre-set field for 'email address' in the customer properties screen. We've been diligently adding customer email addresses but this is the first time we want to use them. I know this sounds like a stupid question but how do you extract them to a list? I've tried going under utilities, crystal reports, customer list but there is no field showing for email address. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Download this report and follow these insturctions.

1.. Exit Store Operations Manager. 2.. Click the Download link and click Open. 3.. Select the .qrp file in the .zip file and click Extract. 4.. Browse to the default reports folder found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Retail Management System\Store Operations\Reports\. You also can find the location of the receipt files by opening Store Operations Administrator, choosing File | Configuration, clicking the Paths tab, and viewing the path found on the Reports line. 5.. Use Store Operations Manager to print the report by choosing Reports | Custom.

This should help you provide a report that you can export to excel.

Hi Shawn, Thank you so much for answering my question but I'm just a little confused as to #2 in your instructions. Where is the download link? Is there a way to get this report via email? Everything else makes sense, I just can't find this file! Thanks, Michelle

If you are viewing this newsgroup online using Internet Explorer, you can't see or download the files. Download Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook EXPRESS newsgroup reader to download the files.

Email address on the Customer List report and more is included in our Custom Reports/Templates Bundle. Download the 30 day trial of RMS Toolkit and select the Reports/Template option during the install. You can keep these reports whether you decide to purchase the Toolkit or not. There are over

100 custom reports/templates included ($500 value).

If you receive a Tool ID error after installing the Toolkit reports, it means one or more of your existing reports is the same name or close to the same name as one of our reports. Run My Computer, locate Programs, Microsoft Retail Management System, Store Operations, Reports. Sort the Reports folder by name, then locate the offending entry and rename it. This might include a report with same name but upper/lower case letters are different.
