SQL CAL

I have 10 POS machines connected to a server. The server will run Wind2k3 as OS and SQLServer2000 as database. Do i need to get a CAL (for SQLServer2003) for each of the 10POS machines? tnx.

\Franco,

Yes, for each computer running SO POS _or_ SO Manager. A W2k3 CAL too!

Make sure collation is right before using RMS had issue here in Australia SQL2000 installs with a different default collation, it has something to do with the default region settings in Server

2003. I had to chooses a custom install and selected the collation that way. cheers. also set the recovery mode to simple...helps in avoiding the dreaded Log file error... cheers again.
