One of my clients are using an ePOS system which is VB and SQL server 2000 based. Now when I tried to install RMS v2, there occured an installation error preventing me to completely install SQL Server express edition. Later when all the steps completed, I tried to connect DB Server through SO Admin but of no use.
I repeated the same exercise at two other machines with the same prior application. I even tried by uninstalling the prior application and then RMS but same the error message appeared which was "Error 1904.Module C:\windows\system32\mscomctl.ocx failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel."
finally I formated my machine and then windows and then RMS.
I can't afford to re-install windows and other applications in order to install RMS cleanly. Please help out.
