you could use a dos batch file in your startup folder that delays before launching, create this file %userprofile%\start menu\programs\startup\RMS.bat in notepad:

ping localhost -n 120 "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Retail Management System\Store Operations\SOPOSUSER.exe"

(remove the line wrap to make the file execute properly)
