Style 401 global customer update

Hello,

This has been going on for awhile, and maybe it's normal, but I thought I'd see if something isn't a little off.

We are running HQ with 3 stores. All customers are global. We have around

3300 customer in the database. When a 401 is ran, it's updating roughly 1800 customers at every store (we don't have 1800 customers doing stuff with their accounts on a daily basis either). I understand the update if a customer has visited the store, or changed their address, but a lot of these customers haven't had changes made to their account and yet they are being updated (the lastupdate field in the customer table has changed to the most recent time of the 401 running).

Does anyone have any input/experience on this? Let me know if I need to clarify.

What version of RMS are you running? See Help/About in any of the RMS applications

Sorry for leaving out the obvious. The version is 1.2.0189. We have not upgraded to 1.3 because we have a few POS machines running windows 98 still.

Thanks for your reply Glenn.

Thank you for the email, although I'm leary of installing something that I don't really know anything about. Your fix states that it's fixing the problem that all records are being downloaded to the store every time the 401 is ran. That is not the case here.

I will look into what you sent me some more, in the mean time, does anyone have other ideas/suggestions about what is possibly going on?
