Does anyone else have problems running RMS POS and UPS Worldship 10.0?

Just check your import and export maps to make sure they upgraded properly.

Root,

I'm not sure what you mean by import and export maps. Last week we had trouble getting Worldship to run. It kept blowing up at step 30 of the 32 step installation.

A UPS technician came to our shop and spent five hours trying to fix the problem. He thinks it's a conflict between SQL Server used by UPS Worldship and RMS POS, a problem with the DLLs, or a problem with the age of the workstation. He gave up and installed it on the back office computer, which also is the server for RMS. Worldship is running OK on that machine, except the printer queue gets messed up and we have to turn off the UPS label printer and restart Worldship to get it to print.

Yesterday, I uninstalled UPS Worldship from the workstation we use as the cash register. We're now getting an error every time RMS tries to write to the journal saying the entry could not be written. No technical support was available since it was a Saturday, so we just ignored it, but there are no journal entries for that day.

Is this a mess or what?

Oh, I see.. I thought you were referring to WorldShip and RMS integration.

WorldShip will NOT work with SQL 2005, so you must use SQL 2000 if you want both programs to use the same database server. It seems their database support is always one version behind. If you use SQL 2005 with RMS, you must let WorldShip install a seperate instance of MSDE.

I'm sorry I can offer no more assistance, the problem you are describing is not one that I have had experience with.
