USEFULL guides to customizing RMS

Does anyone know of, or have, any really USEFULL guides or books or examples for access the variables to be able to customize RMS?

The guide they give doesn't cover the questions I have and doesn't really show me where I need to be looking for help. There don't appear to be any books at chapters or amazon that I've found and I guess I'm missing all the websites that can help because I haven't found any.

All I have found is the Customization Guide help file. It leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, I haven't been able to find a list of all the internal commands that can be called by a custom POS button or AddIn. All it says in the help file is "Store Operations has a set of internal commands in the form of object methods that can be invoked through the command buttons or an HTML page. For example, printing of the last receipt can be done by invoking the PRINTLASTRECEIPT command. Because incorrect command sequences can potentially damage or destroy information in the database, the internal commands should only be used by people with an in-depth knowledge of Store Operations's programming".. Where does one find a list of these methods? I would just like to know what is possible.

I have had some sucess creating addins. For instance we wanted to create a wizard to use when adding a new customer. It took a lot of trial and error to get it to work with POS. Using C#. There is very little information available. And while POS does a good job with taxes, the way it handles inventory leaves a lot to be desired.

Let me know if you find anything useful.

I have pretty heavily modified the system for a few customers. Let me know if you have some specific questions and I will tell you as much as I can.

I appreciate the offer. I realize that many are limited as to what they can say due to non-disclosure agreements etc.

I will probably have some questions for you.

Thanks

Thanks very much for the offer of help. I will likely take you up on that in the future. For now, I finally managed to figure out what I was looking for and accomplish my task.
