Has anyone used a text inserter with RMS? The info sent to the pole display is captured and overlayed on top of the surveillance video .

Amy, We specialize in text inserter and Loss prevention solutions for Microsoft RMS. You have two options

1) Pole Display 2) Receipt Printer.

In pole display it will also print a messages of pole display like (Welcome to..... and Time) For Receipt printer: It should be on and printing receipts all the times. You also get transaction # and transaction time

Additionally there are two kind of text inserter we support.

1) Hardware Base text inserter 2) Software base text inserter

1) Hardware Base text inserter: Just insert the text in the video. You can position the camera at the counter and see what items are on the counter and what items actually rung up in RMS.

2) Software base text inserter: Same as Hardware Base Text Inserter but it's also have own data base where its keep transactions data base inside the DVR. Where you can search transactions inside DVR database. i.e. Coke, Refund, Voids , Returns etc. You can search a refund for particular day and it will display a list of all refunds for that day. Then you can click on any of the refund and its play a video of that event so you can see exactly what happened during that transaction. So you don't have to spend hours to search for that DVR event. It also has a capability to print scrolling a live receipt journal on DVR screen. You can also program limits in database like refund limit $100. If limit is more than $100 it can buzz a alarm to notify you. It has extensive search capabilities. We have a proven Loss Prevention solution for Microsoft RMS. Don't waste your time and money in other solutions. Contact us and we can help you up and running in two business days.
