Not in QuickBooks. There are third-party utilities that either "add-in" to QB or produce data that can be imported into QB.
can you name the utilities???
I do not know of a way to do this on an individual level in an invoice. In other words, 'amount' is defined as qty by rate... it can not be changed to qty by rate by x, where x is the column you added.
There is a global capability for marking up prices via a percentage, look in the help file under markup. Though I suspect it will not be as flexible as what you were attempting.
The Intuit website lists over 400 add-ons to QuickBooks.
Those are just the ones created by software companies who are part of the Intuit Developer Network.
A Google for add-ons QuickBooks will net still more.

you've done some of your own homework, post back with questions about the utilities you're considering.
I've done that in my quickbooks invoices. I've even put in a default abount for the rate. Yes, it can be done, but I don't remember how.
