Change beginning balance

Open the Customer List, click to select the customer. The Edit menu has an item, "Use Register". You can also find it in the Activities menu at the bottom of the Customer List, or by right-clicking the Customer.

I don't have anything that says Customer List. I clicked on Customer Center > Customer and Jobs, highlighted customer and there is nothing with an edit menu that brings up anything saying Use Register. From the "Home" screen, How do I get to the place with the Use Register?

From the Home Page click on "Customers". The Customer List should be on the left side of the screen. If not, select the "Customers & Jobs" tab on the upper left corner. Highlight the customer, then either Edit>Use Register, or right-click>Use Register, or just plain ol' control + R.

OK, got it. Still trying to decide between QB Pro or Peachtree which will be the easiest to understand.

No trick, I bought both and have both running. I'm entering information in one and then the other. Each one has their own hurdles. PT will do a task easily and I can't get QB to do the same task. In other situations QB is the easy one while PT is impossible. Intuitive is a myth in the mind of a programmer.
