I noticed a checkmark field in the register that use used to "clear transactions"... what exactly does that do?

Ok here is the sequence. First you read a Quickbooks Manual and or the Online Help and then if you still don't understand something you post here. This newgroup is not a free ride, you must earn it.
Also you post will not be used as a reference the question is far too simple.
