How to set "To Be Printed" flag in new invoices

I am using QB Pro 2004. I know that last year my newly created invoices automatically checked the "To Be Printed" checkbox on them, which was nice. Now it is not getting set. Of course, I can check it off manually, but I know that was done for me once upon a time, now I cannot figure out how to get that back. Any suggestions ?

Create an invoice. Select "To be printed". Save the Invoice.

The problems appears to be that the setting does not get saved, but reverts to the unchecked status.
