Installing Quickbooks 2002 on Windows Vista

How about this...Microsoft Virtual PC, install XP as a vitual Operating System, then install your version of QB. I do it on my own system and run QB Pro Canadian & QB Premier Multi-Currency (Canadian version) as Canadian versions cannot be installed on a system running the US version...but it definitely works and you can install QB 2002 on a virtual OS.

Hope this helps

Sure it helps, NOT!

If the OP is still running QB 2002 I can't imagine him running a virtual machine. Your typical QB end user can even locate their QB data file let alone do what you propose.

You think very highly of end users don't you? The majority of MY customers COULD do this, and MS Virtual Terminal is a FREE product which doesn't require $$$ upgrading or downgrading. Obviously, my first answer would be definitely upgrade to 2008, if not, then hey, that's what we're, well, I'M here for...I read, occasionally this group - it sounds like you may know what you're doing most of the time, but you are definitely not customer friendly, IMHO of course.

But I am very customer friendly. My clients are far to busy making money to be concerned with such matters. They leave such mudane matters to the hired guns like myself.

As far as most of their clerical staff, thse pepole make far too little money to even care about file locations or virtualization.

If the cost of upgrading QB is an issue I can assue you that they would not have me as their consultant.

Thanks,

Brandon
