Looking to find if possible to have memorized transaction enetered every two years

Hello I have a product renewal fee that is a two year term deal and have some billing grief each year trying to 'work with the longest billing cycle QB allows--one year.

I am looking to find if this memorized transaction period can be extended to bi annual in some fashion? Currently, I bill annually for halve the fee( I have to pay the originator every two years, so I am out the two year fee up front).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You in Advance. Joe

The best you can do is as follows:

- Set the "Next Date", then reset it every 2 years.

- Instead of Auto Enter (or in addition to), set a To Do reminder (and reset it every 2 years, or set a series of several To Do reminders).

Thanks to both of you for the help. What I had started to do before thinking of asking for help was to enter memorized transactions for a few years into the future and label them with the year. Problem there is/would be the manual process to either delete or change the date each year.

I am trying to decide what/which of the 'methods' is the better way. It is too bad, as this product is a subscription based product and I have to pay for the full two years up front, and, as you mentioned, the customer has the right to drop it at the end of any year....

Flexibility is what is needed--and I find QB pretty much OK-usually, but not this time.

I appreciate the comments.

I may set up a reminder for them in Act as that application does not have to be taken down and back up to point our reminders...

I did find another product called Unforgettable, that will allow for independent reminders via pop-up, sound and/or emails and it really works well.....just another piece of software to deal with...

Joe
