Hi I have just opened a storefront using a different business name but have the same customers and vendors but would like to start off with a clean slate. Is there a way to import both lists? Thanks In Advance. Joe

Export both lists from you old company to an appropriate IIF file and import into new company. Have you tried that?
I am not sure what type of file you are referring to....I did try to export to Excel and then to import but I had some issues with regard to correct headings/data and lost customer account numbers, among others.

What version of QuickBooks do you have?

2006 Pro I should be able to work out the kinks in the excel export/import process....I did not want to carry balances over either, and excel offers that help. Joe
