Move transaction from one QDF to another

I have some transactions in one QDF file that I don't want to re-enter. I cannot seem to find a way to simply import these transactions.

Since the transactions are spread among multiple accounts I am simply using the class designation then running a category report then exporting to a tab delimited file. This works great but I can't import the tab delimited file!

Is there anyway to get these selected transactions over to another QDF file?

Thanks! Scott

What version of Quicken? What types of accounts?

John,

Thanks but I found a product that coverts transactions in Excel to QIF so I exported reports to Excel then converted them to QIF for import into another Quicken file. Did exactly what I needed.

I found it here

For others looking to do the same:

1.) If you have Q2005 and are looking to move checking, savings, or investment accounts; you will not be able to use QIF files in this manner. That was why I asked what version of Quicken and what account types were involved. 2.) Secondly, if QIF import is possible and QIF export seems to be too much work; there is a free Excel macro, "xl2qif" which will convert Excel data to QIF files. (The bigredconsulting product is expensive ... unless you are lucky enough to have need to convert less than the limited number of transactions that can be converted using the trial version of the product).
