Halp! q2005 download transactions wants to create a new account to down account data to!

Greetings and Salutations

This is a weird one.

Quicken 2005 wants to download the bank data for the Washington Mutually account into a new account. As in, the pull down menu for bank accounts doesn't list the existing WAMu account, so I have the option of either entering the transactions into the wrong account, or creating a new "personal checking at WaMu" account having the transactions loaded there. I'm not all that adverse to the idea, just that I would like to use the real account with the records going back a few years.

Any pointers to how to get Quicken to do as it is told, and not what it feels must really be my intended action?

It appears that Washington Mutual does Web Connect downloads. For the first web-connect download to a Quicken account, the account must be "Deactivated" for Transaction Download. Only deactivated accounts appear in the list to be matched with the downloaded transactions. After the first download is complete, the account will be Activated.

Thanks, That is weird, but the weird is becoming normal, all to often.
